High concentrations of Plutonium 50 km away from Fukushima - also high amounts of radioactive cesium in Tokyo

It can only come from the explosion of reactor no. 3.

The government has been hiding this information but private testing has located it in rice fields.

Also Korean international TV Arirang reports that extremely high amounts of radioactive substances were found in some districts of Tokyo, namely Koto and Chiyoda. This was discovered in tests performed in mid April (a month ago and we get to know only now!) The extremely high amounts found are 2-3.2 thousand Bequerels of radioactive cesium per kilogram of soil, which is much more than found near Fukushima so far.

Important Update (May 16): exclusion zone extended around Fukushima.

People is being evacuated from an undetermined area around Fukushima far larger than the original 20 km (and then 30 km) radius, which was since the beginning considered too small even by the also complacent US Government.

The evacuation begins with pregnant women and young children because these are the ones most at risk.

The first evacuated villages are Ititate and Kawamata, highly exposed to winds from  Fukushima Daiichi.

Update: another Japanese nuclear power plant, Hamaoka, suffered problems yesterday caused by unexpected input of seawater (reason unknown). The situation is not severe yet but desalination will be needed if the installation is to be saved from corrosion.

Hamaoka is located between Tokyo and Osaka in the Southeast of the country, being the southernmost plant to be affected by problems in Japan since the March earthquake and tsunami.
