E. coli epidemic in Bordeaux (avoid soy germinates)

soy germinates
An elderly woman  (78) died of hemolytic-uremic syndrome in Bordeaux, where at least 10 people are infected. Seven of them have been confirmed to have eaten soy germinates from the British company Thompson & Morgan, which trades on seeds and sundries by mail. As no cases have been detected in Britain it is possible that the E. coli outbreak formed wile being transported (or maybe when processed).

My personal advice would be: avoid eating soy germinates in general, they are most likely behind the E. coli epidemics in Germany as in Aquitaine, so they have the potential to kill you.  Soy products in general are also likely to imply extreme exploitation of Earth and people, as they are usually transgenic products grown in huge plantations with many poisonous chemicals. I try to avoid soy all I can (unless you are vegan, you do not need soy in your diet, and even vegans can do without it: lentils, peas, chickpeas and green beans are much more genuine European foodstuff of the legume kind).
