Military intervenes in Hama and Taiz

The unpopular Arab dictatorships resort to violence once more in desperate attempts to quell the will of the People.

In Syria the Assad regime has sent in heavily armed police, which shot against demonstrators gathered in the plaza, injuring and arresting many. This happened after replacing the former governor, who seems to have favored dialogue and tolerance.

In Yemen the stubborn dictator Saleh has ordered the military to shell the rebel city of Taiz, what has triggered reply from tribal militias, who have attacked military convoys in retaliation.
