Morocco: unemployed protesters set themselves alight (video)

Rabat, Morocco.

When police tried to impede them from taking the food that supporters had brought to their protest, some of them set themselves alight. Two are seriously burnt while the rest really do not seem to have caught much fire themselves and only lesser burns are reported.

Five unemployed Moroccan men set themselves on fire in the capital Rabat as part of widespread demonstrations over the lack of jobs, especially for university graduates, a rights activist said on Thursday. This video contains graphic content. (Jan. 19)
