11,000 demonstrate before Japanese PM home against nuclear power

11,000 may sound like a small figure for European standards but for Japanese ones, a culture in which dissiedence is frowned upon, it is a huge amount of active protesters.

They gathered and dissolved orderly (all very Japanese) before the official residence of the Prime Minister, Yoshihiko Noda, against the reopening of Ooi nuclear power plant.

Japan has been for more than a year already without any nuclear energy at all and no ill-effect has been reported. From active nuclear energy on the other hand...
