Honduras: another farmer leader murdered by the oligarchs

José Cecilio Pérez Martínez, President of the MARCA (Authentic Claimant Farmer Movement of the Aguán), was kidnapped by three men in the regional capital, Tocoa, and then murdered in the outskirts on November 9th.

The same cooperativist organization saw their former President, Secundino Ruiz, and their legal representative, Antonio Trejo Cabrera, also murdered in the last months.

We all know who are the culprits: landowner Miguel Facussé Barjum and his oligarchic buddies. But the puppet neocolonial regime of Lobo will do nothing to ensure the rights of the citizenry and put the criminals behind bars.
