Honduras: indigenous leader Bertha Cáceres sentenced to prison

Bertha Cáceres (pictured) and other COPIHN activists who have been nonviolently struggling against the imposition of land robbery and ecological destruction by multinational corporations under protection of the putschist regime of Lobo, have been declared guilty by one of those farcical tribunals that the puppet regime has.

Bertha Cáceres was sentenced to prison, while Aureliano Molina and Tomás Gómez were given substitutive sentences. She immediately declared herself prisoner of consciousness.
